Wendell Rodricks slams Madhuri for demanding VIP treatment from airline
The actress jumped the queue and travelled in a separate bus while other passengers waited on
Fashion designer Wendell Rodricks is being congratulated galore, at his home in Goa as well as on social networking sites.
And it’s for giving Madhuri Dixit a dressing down (read a piece of his mind), who got priority treatment on the low-cost IndiGo airline, while travelling from Mumbai to Goa a couple of days ago.
Madhuri and the four persons who were accompanying the actress jumped the boarding queue, besides travelling separately in the airline bus to the aircraft for departure as well as from the aircraft to the terminal on landing.
When Madhuri and her friends jumped the queue, the fashion designer thought they were travelling by a private plane. Instead, he was to discover she was on the low-cost airline on the same flight as his.
Immediately, he lambasted Madhuri on his social media account. His argument is why should those who pay for air tickets as much as the actress did, be given secondary treatment? The rest of the passengers were left to sweat it out in the scorching sun when she and her companions were being ferried in the coach buses separately.
In response to Rodrick’s rant against La Dixit, netizens have supported him and asked IndiGo Airlines to initiate an inquiry into this unfair discrimination among stars and mere mortals.
Incidentally, Rodricks has been bestowed with the Padma Shri honour and is quite a celebrity in his own right. Trouble is he goes unrecognised by those who aren’t clued into fashion.
